In collaboration with the Office of Regional Development and External Programs of Saint Joseph University of Beirut (USJ), the “Ecole Supérieure d’Ingénieurs de Beyrouth” (ESIB) and the National Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics (INCI), represented by the Rector of the USJ, Prof. Salim Daccache s.j., BMB, leader in computer technologies represented by its CEO, Mr. Mitri Doumet, has launched on Friday 22nd of February 2019 a program of “continuing education” focused on new technologies namely: Artificial Intelligence, Big Data and Ethical hacking.
“Technological innovations are accelerating at an exponential pace. This intensive 10-week program is becoming a necessity for both executives and companies, as well as students, since it offers its participants the knowledge of cutting-edge technologies and innovations while keeping the practical nature of the training with applications on concrete projects” said Mr. Doumet.

For his part, Pr. Fadi El Hage, Delegate of the Rector of the USJ for the Office of Regional Development and External Programs, stresses on the importance of lifelong training, as advocated by the European Council, since the year 2000. Pr. El Hage added that ‘this bridge built between the academic and the professional world contributes to the development of people and companies’.
The training program includes five complementary yet independent modules (with the possibility of enrolling in one or more modules). These modules target the development of professional skills, hence the setting up of real interactive workshops comprising practical and concrete applications.

The training sessions will be given in English and will take place at the “Ecole Supérieure d’Ingénieurs de Beyrouth” (ESIB) of the USJ, as follows:
Module 1: Big Data Frameworks – from March 15 to May 31, 2019 – 1 session/week
Module 2: Data mining for massive data sets – from May 2 to July 11, 2019 – 1 session/week
Module 3: Artificial Intelligence, Module 1: AI to solve search problems – from March 12 to April 16, 2019 – 2 sessions/week
Module 4: Artificial Intelligence, Module 2: Machine learning – from May 7 to June 13, 2019 – 2 sessions/week
Module 5: Ethical Hacking – from April 3 to June 26, 2019 – 1 session/week
