The inaugural Kata Rocks Superyacht Rendezvous (KRSR) is to be held from 10 to 12 December 2016 in Phuket, Thailand. It will focus on the social side of the Yachting Industry, bringing together superyacht owners, industry partners and luxury lifestyle media for three days of fun and networking in a relaxed social environment.
Kamsyn is honoured to have been chosen to attend as a Media Partner for this World-class Event.
By invitation only, the KRSR event is designed to bring like-minded people together from a personally curated guest list that features Kata Rocks villa owners, superyacht owners, yachting industry professionals plus an influential mix of international and regional lifestyle and yachting media.
The event is open to both sailing and motor yachts measuring over 24 meters in length, visiting or based in Phuket – Southeast Asia’s leading luxury location and superyacht hot spot.
Kata Rocks is a design driven, luxury resort and residence, located directly on the ocean front at the southern end of the famous Kata Beach, along Phuket’s sunset west coast. It features 34 iconic Sky Villas of one to four bedrooms, each offering its own private infinity-pool, expansive living and dining area, superbly appointed bedrooms and bathrooms.
Each villa is equipped with latest interactive iPad technology allowing guests to control the world of the Sky Villa at the touch or swipe of a button. Along with exquisite dining options, pool side restaurant and bar, the resort also features the Award-Winning Infinite Luxury Spa and fitness suite. In October 2016, Kata Rocks had the honour of being named one of the 25 best hotels in South East Asia by the prestigious Conde Nast Travelers 2016 Readers’ Choice Awards. This brings the total to over 40 international awards.
Kata Rocks and Infinite Luxury CEO Richard Pope, said: “We are delighted with the universally positive response and support regarding the Kata Rocks Superyacht Rendezvous from the yachting industry and luxury media. Kata Rocks is often referred to as ‘the world’s first superyacht-inspired resort’ and the KRSR continues to extend its long association with the yachting industry.”
The elegant location serves as an idyllic backdrop for a truly first class three-day programme. Participants are entitled to full complimentary use of Kata Rocks’ extensive and luxurious resort facilities during the KRSR event.
Sponsored by Infinite Luxury, the resort developer and hosted by the award-winning Kata Rocks the KRSR signals the opening of Phuket’s luxurious charter season offering superyacht owners a prime-time opportunity to showcase their flagship vessels.
Kata Rocks Superyacht Rendezvous has quickly attracted the attention of nautical heavyweights across all sectors of the yachting, sailing and boating industries.
Michael Nurbatlian, Marketing Director Infinite Luxury interviewed by Kamsyn agreed that the event offered a different level of opportunity, a new type of exclusivity for owners and charter brokers to showcase their yachts for leading yachting, lifestyle and luxury media publications.
“The KRSR transcends traditional event definitions,” Mr Nurbatlian said. “Kata Rocks’ yachting glamour provides the perfect setting for connecting superyacht owners and brokers to Kata Rocks villa owners and engage the world’s most influential luxury lifestyle media during a high profile three-day celebration and party experience that coincides with the start of the Asian Yacht Charter Season. Guests will enjoy a first-class programme of event and award winning hospitality.”
Mr Nurbatlian said the organising committee has worked over time to build an all-star cast of participating partners to the KRSR.
Getting Feadship Royal Dutch Shipyards, with roots dating back to 1849, to host the prestigious owner’s dinner on day two, brings history, class and the superyacht brand’s so-called ‘relentless pursuit of perfection’ to the event. Feadship is recognised as the world leader in the field of pure custom superyachts in terms of craftsmanship, design, engineering and construction.
“We are very pleased to welcome Feadship, the world’s most prestigious motor yacht brand as a participating partner and host of the ‘Feadship Owner’s Dinner’ at the Inaugural Kata Rocks Superyacht Rendezvous“ Mr Pope noted.
Other superyacht participating partners include: Burgess (the global superyacht industry leader, renowned for its professional yachting services), Seal Superyachts (Thailand’s longest established Superyacht Agency, servicing the Seychelles through to eastern Indonesia), Benetti Yachts (founded in 1873, one of the oldest luxury shipyard in the world), Northrop & Johnson (provides yacht sales and purchase to charter to management and marketing of the world’s most discerning luxury vessels),

According to Mr Josh Lee, Founder and Managing Director of Phuket-based Lee Marine – one of Thailand’s leading luxury yachting company with a reputation for service excellence – KRSR is the right event at the right time to fuel future growth for the Asia Pacific superyacht industry.
“Lee Marine is thrilled to be supporting the first Kata Rocks Superyacht Rendezvous. Kata Rocks and Infinity Luxury are, as usual, presenting innovative ideas for this event. Thailand’s current and upcoming superyacht market has so much growth potential and KRSR certainly pushes that point home.”

There is also a ‘Gins of the World’ sunset cocktails, a ‘yacht hop’ and ‘big boy’s toys’ on the water showcase followed by the exclusive ‘Feadship Owners Dinner’ in Kata Rock’s iconic Sky Villa Penthouse and a grand finale that concludes with the Kata Rocks Charter Season Opening Party.
